In September 2018, thanks to a cooperation between the Research and Development Department of PROTEO INTERNATIONAL S.r.l. and the University of Tabriz – Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Azerbaijan Shahid Madani University, Tabriz, Iran, a thesis was discussed by a student.

The thesis, titled “Response of balm medicinal plant to Pluramin foliar spray and inoculation with plant growth‑promoting rhizobacteria under water deficit stress” was supervised by Dr. Hamid Mohammadi and advised by Dr. Saeid Hazrati.

The experiment aimed to evaluate the effect of PLURAMIN on the mitigation of stress due to water deficiency on lemon balm (Melissa officinalis L.) cultivated in pot.

The results showed satisfactory effects of the product in contrast to the adverse effects of the stress by improving several phytochemical and biochemical processes.
